Wonderful authentic Portuguese restaurant with amazing food (Prawns were amazing) and delicious desserts and coffees and the staff and service was homely.

This was our first time coming to Cafe Portugal. They were busy but never busy to make time for us. George, the owner was very friendly and was very proud of his Portuguese culture and said he only produce the best dishes. What can I say... they were amazing. He even took us around the cafe and explained about the dishes to make it easy for us to order. We ordered the prawn starter - Camarao a Casa. Simply delicious. We had it with homemade bread. Main course we went for Bacalhau c/ Natalie- like a fish pie and piri piri chicken. All tasted amazing. Charmila kept checking on us to ask if we are ok. She was warm and friendly. Happy to chat with us with added to the warm service. Good atmosphere. We certainly enjoyed the delicious food. Will come again.
This is by far the best place for Portuguese food in Leicester. Please don’t change anything . We had the best time here & will be visiting often.
An Amazing Experience! I recently visited this restaurant, and it was absolutely fantastic! The service was outstanding—staff members were friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, creating a truly enjoyable dining experience. As for the food, it was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The menu offers a great variety, catering to different tastes. Every dish we tried was full of flavor and well-prepared. A big thank you to the team especially Sharmila for her professionalism and warm hospitality! I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place to everyone.
Amazing food, exceptional service, very reasonable prices. I would recommend their steak (well known in Portugal, the famous bitoque and their grilled chicken). Keep up the good work.
My partner and I cannot recommend Cafe Portugal enough, fantastic and delicious food, the Francesinha was life changing and the right amount of spice to make the mouth water and want to keep going back for more. Table service with Charmila was amazing, friendly and helpful, and with the owner taking time to engage and chat. Overall the atmosphere was incredible with happy smiling faces all round, for my partner a native Portuguese it was a little slice of home Muito Obrigado
